Now for some Friday Favorites…
+ I love listening to podcasts while I fold the laundry or do the dishes. It can be a great way for me to learn, unwind and be inspired. I’ve really been loving “The Pivot” by Andrew Osenga. He sits down with artists and authors and talks about them moving from one career to another. SO inspiring! And I’ve also loved the At Home homeschooling series. I listened to “Serving in Motherhood” this week and it was wonderful! What are some of your favorite podcasts?
+ Have you tried the Maple Pecan Latte from Starbucks? I had an iced one this past week and it was so tasty! I’ve ordered a few ingredients to try to make my own version this next week. I’ll keep you updated on what I come up with. Do you have a good iced Maple Pecan Latte recipe? I also ordered these straws to drink my iced latte with. When we lived in town my sweet friend Stacey (hi stacey!!) would make the most delicious iced coffees for us while the kids played. She would always serve them with these straws and it made the coffee feel like such a treat! And complete side note about Stacey… she is one of those people who has the gift of listening. She always looks you right in the eyes and makes you feel like you were important and had her undivided attention. She was such a great example to me of what it looks like to truly listen to someone instead of just jumping right in and cutting someone off in conversation (guilty!).
+ I am LOVING the bandana as a necktie trend that is happening right now! I have a few bandanas that I’ve been wearing on rotation but have felt like they looked a bit new and stiff. I saw this tutorial for “aging” bandanas and think I’ll give it a try this weekend! How pretty are these?!

+ So, over the years I’ve heard girlfriends talk about Ebates and completely let what they were saying go in one ear and out the other. Do NOT be like me! Turns out I’ve been pretty much throwing money out the window for no good reason. In a nutshell, Ebates is an online money back tool that puts money BACK in your pocket. I don’t know about you, but I do almost ALL of my shopping online. Which means I could have saved a lot of money over the past few years. What you do is sign up for Ebates and it gives you a handy little button on the top of your screen. Then you just go shopping like you normally do! A little tab will pop up if the site you’re on gives you cash back. You can click “yes” or “no” if you want to activate it (which…I don’t know why you would push “no”). And that’s it! They’ll then send you a check or you can have it sent right to you via PayPal. DO NOT BE LIKE ME haha! Sign up for Ebates and get some money back in your pocket!
Make sure to go to the right side of the blog and sign up for my email updates! You’ll get blog updates as well as some fun blog reader behind the scenes updates! I am so thankful for each one of you! HAPPY WEEKEND!!
