(For those asking, you can shop my shoes HERE. They are SO comfortable!)
I have been counting down the days until I could share this project with you all. Now more than ever I think family dinners and gathering together at the end of the day are so important. It’s so much more than filling your up tummies. But it’s about the comfort that a home cooked meal can bring. It’s about the conversations that will be had at the table with everyone gathered around. It’s about the delicious smells that will greet those you love as they enter your home. In a broken and hurting world there is no greater time to connect as a family than now. The dinner table is the perfect place for those connections to form. It’s a place where guards can be let down, laughter can be had and bonds deepened.
I know not everyone loves to cook or meal plan. And this is why I wanted to put this little project together for you. I wanted to take some of the guess work out of your busy schedule. Each week you can come back here to the blog for a FREE meal plan and grocery shopping list for four dinners. I’ve tried to put together meals that are fairly quick and easy to make. Most of the meals I have not added “sides” to. That’s up to you. I’ll typically do a side salad or a roasted veggie to go with each meal. If at any point you need help, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
I am by no means a graphic designer so I’ve partnered up with my friend Brenna of Paisley Barn Designs. She has created these gorgeous meal plans to hang on your fridge as well as an organized shopping list. Make sure to check out Brenna’s shop HERE. She has other helpful downloads that will help to keep your life organized (if you’re a homeschooler she has amazing downloads)! And while you’re over on her shop make sure to grab one of her cute mugs that she has designed!
Now let’s get started! Each Thursday I will be posting the four meals with their links (or recipes posted) right here! You’ll need to leave your email in the box below and then you’ll automatically be sent an email with a link to the Menu Plan and Grocery List downloads. It’ll be free every single week! My gift to YOU for being a faithful reader! You’ll have the weekend to get your groceries for the following week. My biggest tip would be to take advantage of online grocery pickup if it’s available in your area. I use Walmart online pickup and it has been a lifesaver. I’ll order my groceries on Thursday night, then drive into town and pick them up on Friday. You can get $10 off your first order if you click HERE.
Also- to save additional money on your groceries I highly suggest signing up for Ebates. It’s an online service that you sign up for, then do your normal online shopping and receive cash back on most purchases (including your online grocery shopping!). Sign up HERE. The cash back can add up really quickly!
Now here is this week’s Menu Plan!
OCTOBER WEEK ONE MENU//

1. Sausage and Rice Bake: my family LOVES this dish! It’s super easy to make ahead and pop in the oven. You’ll mix the rice in uncooked and it cooks right in the oven! I love to serve this with bread and a salad!
2. French Bread Pizza Rolls: this is one of those meals that makes the whole family cheer! It is DELICIOUS and makes two 9×13 pans. I would suggest eating one pan for dinner and freezing the other one! You can break up the Pizza Rolls into individual rolls and freeze them. They’re perfect for afternoon snacks or a quick lunch/dinner. Just pop them in the microwave and warm up.
3. Cheeseburger Soup: such a yummy recipe!! I love to serve it with frozen rolls or a loaf of French bread!
4. Burrito Bowl: this is one of those meals that you can prepare ahead of time. For nights that I know we need to be out the door quickly (church night or dance night) I’ll pre-cook the rice and chicken ahead of time as well as chop up my veggies. It makes for a quick and easy assembly for dinner!
