I think I say this every time I do this type of post… but some of my favorite posts that bloggers do are the behind the scenes photo kind. I love getting to see snippets of people’s days. How they live and what their lives look like. Here’s a little snippet from our day 🙂
Today was a stay at home day around here. Nowhere to be or to rush off to. My favorite kind of days. The weather was just right today… not too chilly and not too warm. We moved our classroom outside to get the majority of the kid’s schoolwork done while the little ones played around us. For all the hard moments that homeschooling can bring (definitely not for the faint of hard haha!), the days where we can move our classroom outside to enjoy the weather seem to make those hard moments disappear. It made me smile seeing my first grader reading out of his reader while mindlessly drawing circles in the dirt with his bare toes. Moments like those are sweet affirmations that we’re doing exactly what we need to be doing in this phase of life.
The rest of the day was spent finishing up school, doing a little baking, drinking coffee x3, tidying up, nap time and playing outside some more until dark. Slow and steady, loud and chaotic, comforting and routine kind of days. My favorite.
Hope you had a lovely day!
I have joined up with a group of bloggers to bring a monthly series called “The Daily Dime”. It’s a good ol’ fashioned Blog Hop! In a nutshell it’s a link up where all the bloggers share their “day in the life” kind of posts all in one place. You’ll be able to see that link up below! It’s a great way to find new bloggers and to make some friends 🙂
Participation is easy and we would LOVE to have you! We’re going to be doing it each month. Participation is easy — take ten photographs over the course of a day, blog all about what you were up to, grab a button from this post, link back to one of the hosts, and join us to link up. The link party will be open for two weeks and by sharing your link with us, you are subscribing to an email reminder each month. Can’t wait for you to join us!
