Blueberry Buckle

My mom has made this recipe for as long as I can remember.
It’s one of my favorite childhood recipes!
I love making it for my family on a slow Saturday morning.
It takes a little bit longer to bake (around 45-50 minutes) which I love
when we’re not in a hurry to eat!
It’s the perfect amount of time to drink a cup of coffee and wake up 🙂

Blueberry Buckle
2 Cups Flour
3/4 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Oil
3/4 Cup Milk
2 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
3/4 teaspoon Salt
1 egg
1 Cup Blueberries (fresh or frozen)
Combine all your ingredients except for the blueberries.
Stir until completely mixed together.
Then fold in your blueberries.
Pour into a greased 9×9 pan.
Mix together your topping (below) and sprinkle over the top.
Bake at 375 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup White Sugar
1/2 Cup Oatmeal
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 Cup Softened Butter
*Mix your sugars, oatmeal and cinnamon together.
Then with a fork, smash in your butter until everything has a little butter mixed with it.
It should look clumpy*

  1. Made this this morning, on one of our last summer morning's off together with my two little girls, before back to school time, and it was delicious!! Was wondering can this be adapted to include other ingredients?
