A few weeks ago our 7th little one was born. We have slowly been adjusting to life with 7 kids. Throw homeschooling into the mix and it can at times feel chaotic (but we wouldn’t trade it for the world!). In an effort to make our morning routine flow a little bit smoother, I created this Chore Chart for each of my kids.
Sunday evening I print off 5 chore charts. One for each of my bigger kids (they’re 12, 10, 8, 6 and 4). The Chore Charts are filled out and then hung on the side of the fridge where we all can see them. Each child is assigned certain chores for each day. These are chores that they have had for awhile now. I knew that once the baby came I wanted to add a little bit more accountability to make sure the chores were being done daily and in a timely manner. Once the baby came I knew I would be spending quite a bit more time sitting and nursing which meant not as much time to walk around and monitor.
For the kids who can read, I simply write down their chores. For my youngest little guy who does chores (he’s 4), I draw pictures on his chore chart. A picture of a bed to remind him to make his bed. A picture of a toothbrush to remind him to brush his teeth. And so on.
You can get the Chore Chart HERE . You’ll receive the PDF download right to your inbox! You can print it off weekly or you could laminate it to wipe clean each week. I highly recommend this laminator if you’re going to go that route.
I hope these Chore Charts are a blessing to your family!
If you end up using them, I’d love if you tag me on Instagram (@thevanillatulip) !
I can’t wait to see how you implement them into your daily routine!
