The key to making them chewy is to take them out of the oven RIGHT before they’re done baking. They’ll be the perfect thin and chewy cookie!
Cream together your butter, brown sugar and sugar. Add in your vanilla, salt and baking soda. Pretty simple!
Add in your 2 cups of flour and mix well. Add in 1 cup of oatmeal at a time until you have incorporated both.
Add in 1/2 a bag of chocolate chips. Bake in the oven for around 10 minutes.
The cookies will finish baking on the tray outside of the oven. Scoop them off and place on a cooling rack. Try adding red and green M&Ms for a little Christmas color!
