Elderberries are a fruit that comes from the plant called Sambucus.  They work as an anti-oxidant and are packed with Vitamin C/Vitamin A.  You may often see this for sale, but you can save money by making it yourself.

Ingredients:

Water

Dried Elderberries

Cloves

Cinnamon

Raw Honey

It is simple and easy!  Pour the water into a large sauce pan. Add in the dried elderberries, cinnamon sticks and cloves.

Bring to a boil. Remove the pot from the stove and let it cool until you're able to handle it.

Mash the berries carefully with a spoon or potato masher. Pour the berry mixture through a finer strainer into a large bowl or large glass jar.  Be sure to get all the juices out of the berries!

Once the liquid has cooled completely, carefully stir in your raw honey.
