Homemade Peppermint Playdough
Tis the season for all things festive! Homemade Peppermint Playdough is one of our favorite things to play with and make during the holidays! The kids love it for obvious reasons and I love it because it usually gives me a few hours of peace. This is the recipe my mom made for us growing up. During the holidays we change it up a bit and add the peppermint scent to it. For the light red color (aka pink haha), we used beet juice to dye it. And to give it the most delicious peppermint scent, I use some of our Young Living Peppermint oil!
*I typically triple this recipe*
INGREDIENTS//
1 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Salt
1 Tablespoon Alum (you can find this in the spice aisle)
1 Cup Boiling Water
1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
2-4 Tablespoons Beet Juice (you can get this right out of the can)
3-5 drops Young Living Peppermint Oil. Add as many or as few as you desire!
Oh my goodness! Capri is only 6 months old but I want to make this right now for her! haha Such a cute idea. 🙂
