How to Wrap and Wear Your Baby: Solly Baby Wrap How To

A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO WRAP AND WEAR YOUR BABY.

As a homeschooling mama to seven kids, I have quickly learned that the majority of baby items out there aren’t really necessary. My list of must-have baby items is pretty small.  And at the top of that coveted list, my Solly Baby Wrap. This has been a lifesaver and such a blessing with baby #7!  In this blog post (and YouTube video), I show you how to wrap and wear your baby with the Solly Baby wrap.

My first six little ones I tried out many different baby carriers.  I found some that were good, but just not great. And I always steered clear of anything that I had to wrap around my body.  Just the thought of figuring it out intimidated me!  Looking back, I could just kick myself for not having given the Solly Baby Wrap a try sooner! One of the top reasons I love it so much, is that I truly can be hands free while wearing the baby.  His little body or head aren’t wobbling all over the place.  He stays secure against my chest while I go about my tasks.  Laundry changing, dish washing, helping with school assignments, sweeping… you name it and he is along for a secure ride!

I also love that the Solly Baby didn’t hurt my back after wearing the baby for awhile.  Every other baby carrier I have tried in the past would give me an upper back ache after an hour.  Because of how the baby is tied securely against you, I have found that it takes all of that unwanted pressure off of my upper back.  The weight of the little one is disbursed evenly and the straps over my shoulders help tremendously.

A few pieces of info about the Solly Baby Wrap:

+ The Solly Baby wraps are designed for baby’s first year or up to 25 pounds.

+ I also REALLY love that they are lightweight so they can easily be worn in warmer weather.  We live in Texas and it gets super warm here. I love that the wraps are light enough that we won’t sweat to death wearing it.

+ If you struggle with postpartum depression, wrap your baby onto you.  There is something so soothing and beautiful about having them close.  And having them against you also can help reduce crying (all the mamas said amen!).

I also wanted to share a few more of my top favorite baby items!

This Pacifier (shown in the picture) is hands down my favorite! I’ve used it for the past two little ones and love it!  It comes in a variety of colors and both of my breast-fed little guys have loved it.

This Pacifier Clip (also shown below) is a must have item as well.  I am the queen of losing pacifiers if I don’t have a clip.  I love the variety of colors/beads these come in and they’re a great price too!
